I've just installed CS Online 2.2.0 with the view to use it as a user interface / test tool for serial controlled microcontroller products/projects I design.

I can't seem to find a menu item in "Communication Settings" that could be for the RS-232 port. My options are:
* Mobile
* Infrared
* USB
* USB (not really sure why there's 2)
* UART 1 IrDA (Beam)

where is the Serial Port?

Technically, every Palm device can have different naming conventions for it's port. In practice there's a lot of commonality, but any given device can be quite custom. As such, we can't speak specifically to the Tungsten W.

However, it appears as if you have the entire device list. The T-W was somewhat unique, but the closet thing, the Tungsten-C, lists "Infrared, usbd, usbc, ser0, and sir0, where ser0 is the serial port. It appears that your device has nothing comparable the serial port, however.

Palms technically 'reuse' the infrared port for serial. There may be a chance that it functions if set to IR.
