Are you interested in trying out the upcoming releases of CS Online? At any given time, we have what we call an 'engineering build' of CS Online that includes new features for the upcoming version. To improve quality and get customer feedback, we're going to an Open Beta of the upcoming release of CS Online.

NOTE: This is BETA software actively being developed, NOT a release product. There may be known issues with it, serious bugs, or you may need to take extra steps in order to use it. Engineering releases may not work at all. IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT 'BETA' SOFTWARE IS, DO NOT USE THIS VERSION; please use the current release instead. |
Click > HERE < to download the current engineering build.
Note that the engineering release is just the CS Online program itself (the .prc file,) not the full CS Online package, which includes release notes and the manual. If you haven't already downloaded the CS Online distribution and installed it on your device, please do that first. |

The current engineering build is 2.2.4. Changes since the public 2.2.0 release are minor/maintenance issues, listed here:
Version 2.2.4
----------------------------------
Updated:
+ Fixed issue with Buffered Input and Macro sends + local echo not updating
screen immediately
+ Added minor color support in Send/Receive's file selection dialog
Version 2.2.3
----------------------------------
UPdated:
+ Fixed ANSI minor emulation issue in CUD
+ Fixed issue with specific combination of Hex emulation, echo and logging
Version 2.2.2 release
----------------------------------
Updated:
+ Fixed issue with CR/LF/CR+LF and BS/DEL mapping on Telnet connections
+ Fixed issue with logging+local echo+log unprintable not recording incoming data
+ Fixed issue with host-defined scrolling regions
+ Fixed issue with logging indicator when switching between logging modes
Currently we have a report of the app hanging for someone when they use a combination of the pop-up keyboard and NOT buffered input mode, but we are unable to replicate this in-house. If anyone else has experienced this issue we would like to hear about it. |

The following is an alternate build of CS Online with PC ANSI graphics support. In this build, PC ANSI replaces the standard Palm character set. This is not the final form that PC ANSI support will take, but is an interim solution for users who largely use PC-era BBS type hosts. It is based on beta 2.2.6.
Click > HERE < to download the PC ANSI alternate build 2.2.6.
As this is the first public release of PC ANSI support in CS Online, like all beta releases feedback is appreciated. |
