I have a problem with serial communication on one linux single board computer. The arrow button definitions in Online are defined as \e[A. The \e is an escape character. So when I try to use these buttons with the linux sbc, I get kicked back out to the login screen. It seems like it is not reading the rest of the string, but just doing the escape function. I have verified that the setup I am using on the linux sbc works with other systems. For example, WiLAN radios and Hewlett Packard switches. I am able to login to these devices and move around in the menus with the Online arrow keys. I have emailed the manufacturer of the linux sbc devices and they have told me to use vt100 emulation. That is what I have selected under emulation mode for the terminal. Is there anything else that I can check within CS Online to make sure that I have all settings correct? What other questions do I need to ask the manufacturer of the sbc?
