|
|
I have recently bought a Blue Console 2 serial to bluetooth converter (www.blueconsole.com) which works very well with my PC and WinXP and hyperterminal. However, for the Palm they reccomend to use tridone.com's TriConnect. I have tried it and it works fine, except that it has very limited configurability. For instance, I can not suppress the LF generated after a CR, and thus it screws up the communication with my serial device. On the other hand, CS online seems a much more powerfull terminal emulator with lots of options and capabilities (beta version 2.2.4), though it can not communicate with the Blue Console, and I don't know why.
In CS Online I define "bluetooth" as port. Then as paired device I choose from the "nearby devices" the BlueConsole as displayed. Then I press ON, and comes a message "connecting" and a window is displayed asking: "Enter passkey for unkonw device:" I give the corresponding passkey (1234) and after a few seconds, the error message "error opening port (Serial: ( 0x030C))." I have seen that the message is the same whatever the passkey I use, so I assume it can not 'pair" with it.
Thanks for your help,
Peter |

Certain devices have had issues with authentication we have been unable to reproduce in house. If you can use un-encrypted mode, try that. In the meantime we're looking into it. |
